about

On 2 October 2015 I boarded a cargo ship 200 metres long and 57,000 tonnes heavy to take me to the Gambia.  It's my 5th visit in 10 years and, all being well, will be the longest.

What's with the blog?

I've not kept a blog before and I don't really know how to do so! But I'm glad that it seems to be a way I can keep people informed, interested and encouraged by what God is teaching me.

I'm serving and surfing...

Serving - I long to serve the people in this part of God's world by helping them treasure the Saviour Jesus as he truly is, revealed in God's word. I pray that you will do the same!

Surfing! God has given us such a beautiful and enjoyable creation, and I thank him very much for the excitement and refreshment of surfing. It's especially exciting to do it in a relatively unsurfed location!

  1. I have to confess to the fact that I'm struggling with envy at how great your blog is! May God use it greatly to His glory and to your encouragement!

    1. Oh you're very kind Louise. I still feel like I don't really know what I'm doing with it! It often helps me though and I pray it encourages others.
